Netspeak Games is a growing games studio with the need of Software Engineers that will build, plan and implement the underlying tools, systems and interconnections that will be used to build out our games. You will work closely with Gameplay Engineers and Platform Engineers to ensure that the systems on which we build our games are reliable and a joy to work with.
Collaborate closely with Gameplay Engineers to build out the underlying tooling and systems that are needed to build out a massively multiplayer online game
Architect and implement the tools and systems needed for others to achieve their goals
Strong Software Engineering skills ranging from design and development all the way to code reviews, best practices and mentoring of others
Use existing APIs and integrate other systems to ensure that the game can communicate with services behind the scenes
Take design ideas from concept to completion through iterative development
Manage priorities efficiently and communicate clearly about any problems or blockers
Aim to anticipate design hurdles, dependencies on other teams, and technical challenges ahead of time and come up with plans to mitigate them
Be the point of contact for features you’ve worked on, and be in charge of creating and updating any relevant documentation

You will be building out the underlying systems and tools that Gameplay Engineers will be interfacing with on a daily basis.
Experience and Skills:
Strong knowledge of C++
Ability to break down complex technical problems into components and smaller parts for easier planning and prioritisation.
Experience with writing Design documents, Tech design docs and general documentation
Strong communication skills
Above all else, a willingness to learn!
